11/8/17 Fallen Timbers Autumn Health Walk 8:30 AM Fallen Timbers Battlefield Registration Closed
  Make Wednesday mornings between Labor Day and Thanksgiving your time to get outside and get moving as you take in the beauty of Fall. An interpreter will share seasonal highlights and lead you on this moderately-paced walk along a 1.5 mile loop trail. Estimated walking time 35-45 minutes.

  Take a brisk walk on park trails to increase your heart rate and get the blood flowing. This is a 50 min walk and covers over 2 miles at a quick walking pace. There will be no walk on federal holidays.

  It's important to stay active at all ages and equally important to spend time in nature. Come move, learn and socialize as we take a gently paced nature walk around Wildwood. Dress accordingly for the weather and any age is welcome in this walking group.

  Light up the night with friends on a bike ride through your favorite parks. All skill levels and bikes are welcome. Please bring your bike, helmet (required), wear reflective gear and/or lights, bugspray and bring a water bottle. Please dress appropriately for the weather.

  Make Thursday mornings your bird watching time! Bring your favorite morning beverage and join us in Wildwood's Window on Wildlife for this informal viewing and interpretation of our feathered friends. At 8:30, we may venture out to take a quick look in nearby trees and meadows (optional). No birding experience necessary!

  Weekly fun for our youngest park visitors. Preschoolers, toddlers and their guardians enjoy story time, a nature walk, and a craft to take home. There are different theme each week. Dress accordingly for the weather.

  Bring your 3 to 5 year old to the little cabin in the big swamp to learn about how black swamp pioneers celebrated Thanksgiving. Children will hear a story about the Thanksgiving holiday and make a craft to take home. Please register child only.

  Observe Veteran's Day by treating yourself to an outdoor challenge! From dunes to woodlands, lakes to riversides, this 11 mile hike in honor of 11-11 will pass through some of the lesser known areas of our largest Metropark. Bring a daypack with your lunch, water bottle and snacks.

Eric Slough is a certified American Canoe Association kayaking instructor, member of Toledo River Gang, and overall kayak gear junkie! He will bring several boats for you to see and be able to compare pros and cons of each.
