8/2/18 Deer Management Program 9:00 AM Metroparks of the Toledo Area Registration Closed
  Metroparks will utilize a lottery card drawing for archery deer hunts during the statewide deer hunting season, September 29, 2018 through February 3, 2019 as a component of the District's overall wildlife management program. The hunts will be analyzed to determine the effectiveness of archery hunting as a method to control deer populations. They will take place on parcels of property owned by the Metroparks of the Toledo Area in western Lucas County, Ohio, during normal hunting hours.

Follow the online registration steps to be entered into the lottery drawing with your paid application fee. You must enter your ODNR Hunting License # in the 'Age of Children' text box'. There will only be ONE application per person. Applications must be completed by 5 p.m. on August 31. Applications chosen to participate will need to complete a qualification test. The test will be administered at Bass Pro Shop in Rossford or Cleland's Outdoor World in Swanton and will require the applicant to hit an 8 inch target with four consecutive shots from 20 yards. Qualification must be completed prior to September 26th. Permits will be issued for three week blocks of time and each hunter may bring one licensed partner who also must qualify.

  Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Metroparks of the Toledo Area!
Prior to volunteering, all new volunteers are are encouraged to attend this orientation which enables the Volunteer Services staff to meet prospective volunteers, learn more about their interests,review park policies and procedures, and provide an overview of Metropark volunteer opportunities.

Orientations are held the first Tuesday of most months. [VMT]

  Dolls, Dolls, Dolls! We had them, we gave them, we collect them! Jin in the fun of remembering the joy of all things "Dolls"! And come all "dolled up" yourself! (Colors--Black, Caribbean Blue and White)

The 2018 Tea season seating includes both reservation (11:30am-12:30pm) and non-reservation (walk-in) guests from 12:30pm onward.

  Come out and enjoy an educational walk at the Toledo Botanical Garden (TBG). This monthly walk will highlight plants throughout the garden and include their seasonal interests-flowers, fruits, bark and more! It will be a great time to check out plants that you may want to consider for your own landscape. (Second Monday of the month, except for June)
