4/5/17 Stay Active Naturally: Walking Group for 55+ 2:00 PM Wildwood Preserve Waiting List
  Join us every Wednesday beginning April 5 through June 28 to get moving, socialize and learn from a Metroparks naturalist on this slow stroll along Wildwood's paved or gravel trails. Designed especially for 55 and older, but any age is welcome to join the fun.  
5/6/17 CANCELLED:Cycle Circle: Overnight Bike Trip, 40 miles 1:30 PM Secor Registration Closed
  Ever dream of going on a bike trip but not sure how or where to start? Here is your opportunity to camp out and explore the different Metroparks in a whole new way on this overnight bike trip.

The bike trip will begin at Secor Metropark in the National Center for Nature Photography parking lot, travel a total of 38.5 miles and end Sunday, May 7 at the same parking lot just in time for lunch. The trip will consist of 19 miles the first day and 20 miles the second day. All cyclist and camping levels are welcome to this beginner's cycling trip program.

One tent spot at a group campsite, certain bike gear (courtesy of Toledo Mountain Mentors), certain camping gear and a guide fee will be included in the registration fee. Food is not included.

The ride will include a stop at the new single track trail located at the Springbrook parking lot in Oak Openings.

*Please note we require all participants to attend the pre-trip information session on Sunday, April 30 from 7-8:30p.m. at the National Center for Nature Photography in Secor Metropark.

  Exhibits from the nationís premier nature photographers hang alongside images by local talent in this gallery. The National Center for Nature Photography at Secor Metropark is the only center of its kind in the country. Gallery open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  
5/7/17 Historical Tours of the Manor House 12:00 PM Wildwood Preserve No Registration Required
  Enjoy a free guided tour of this over 30,000 square foot, Depression-era home and learn about the region's rich history or walk through the first floor in your own time. After touring the Manor House, save time to walk through the Ellen Biddle Shipman Gardens or walk the trails through the spectacular grounds of Wildwood Preserve.

  Discover what spring ephemerals carpet Oak Openings trails as the season progresses. Register for one or all of these walks led by OCVN Naturalists, Chris and Randy Haar.  
5/7/17 CANCELLED: Bootcamp Fitness: (Ages 16+) 1:00 PM Middlegrounds Registration Closed
  This bootcamp class will be a total body workout. You will use your body weight to increase muscle and improve your conditioning. It will be done in station format and we will take advantage of all the great areas Middlegrounds Metropark has to offer.

All abilities are welcome to join us in a fun, challenging, outdoor workout.

Participants should make sure they have proper footwear and a water bottle. An exercise mat is optional.

Program fees include 4 classes on May 7, 14, 21, and 28. Please register for the first class only on May 7.

5/7/17 Celebrate Screen Free Week with a family walk at the park! 2:00 PM Wildwood Preserve Registration Closed
  It's screen free week! Step away from your electronics and step into nature. Doctors recommended kids spend two hours or less a day in front of a screen which can be computers, phones, television and video games. We will take a family friendly walk around Wildwood and end at the playground for some fun. this program is in partnership with Mercy's Children's Hospital.
