6/3/17 Trail Challenge 10:00 AM Metroparks of the Toledo Area Registration Closed
  Help us celebrate National Trail Day by signing up to take the Trail Challenge. Set your goal of 50, 100 or 150 miles and create your plan to accomplish your goal and hike! To participate: register online or mail in your registration form with your entry fee. You will receive a t-shirt, entry into the Trail Challenge FaceBook group and invitations to special trail hikes. Your reward will be a hiking stick with the badge of the miles you completed 50, 100 or 150. The form is for you to track your mileage. You can drop off or mail your completed form to Wildwood Preserve Visitors Center by June 30, 2018. You will then be notified when rewards are available for pick-up.

Metroparks encourages you to set a stretch goal, a GET OUTSIDE YOURSELF kind of goal. For some, that will be accomplishing the 50 miles for others the 100 or 150. Watch for Metroparks Featured Trails. Try a trail in a Metropark you've not previously visited. When registering online enter your Mile Goal into the 'Age of Children' text field.

5/5/18 Free Fishing Weekend, Try it! Fishing 9:00 AM Side Cut Registration Closed
  No license? No pole? No problem! Try your luck angling in a few Metroparks ponds on this free fishing weekend program. All equipment and bait will be provided. All ages are welcome. Dress for the weather. Program runs rain or shine.  
5/5/18 Ten Mile Hike 10:00 AM Providence Registration Closed
  Celebrate spring with a ten mile hike along the beautiful Maumee River. We'll start at Providence, hike our way downriver to Farnsworth along the Towpath Trail and then hop on the Metroparks minbus to shuttle back to Providence. Along the way we'll explore 3 different Metroparks and enjoy seasonal highlights. Wear sturdy hiking shoes and pack water and a trail lunch.

  Calling pioneers of all ages, the Johlin Black Swamp Cabin is open to enjoy. See how much home life has changed in the last 151 years. Join us anytime between 11:00-3:00 and lend a hand with the gardening or just explore the cabin.  
5/5/18 Launch Into Providence 12:00 PM Providence Registration Closed
  The canal town, Providence comes alive this season at the Canal Experience. Journey along the banks of the restored Miami & Erie Canal in a mule-drawn canal boat, "The Volunteer", visit the Isaac Ludwig Mill for some stone-ground cornmeal and the Heritage Center to learn more about the canal era. Metropark Members are invited to ride the canal boat for free to celebrate opening Saturday. Call the ticket booth at (419) 407-9741 to reserve canal boat tickets or tickets can be reserved the day of the program at the ticket booth while available. Tickets for this date are not available for purchase online. A fee is charged for non member admission to the boat.  
5/5/18 Gallery Exhibition: Photo Arts Club of Toledo (Annual Photo Arts Club) 12:00 PM Secor No Registration Required
  Exhibits from the nationís premier nature photographers hang alongside images by local talent in this gallery. The National Center for Nature Photography at Secor Metropark is the only center of its kind in the country. Gallery open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Noon to 6 p.m.
