  Join us every Wednesday beginning April 5 through June 28 to get moving, socialize and learn from a Metroparks naturalist on this slow stroll along Wildwood's paved or gravel trails. Designed especially for 55 and older, but any age is welcome to join the fun.

  Join The University of Toledo, Center for Successful Aging every Monday and Friday for a fitness walking program in the Metroparks. Open to all adults. Classes are free to the public. Fitness classes will accommodate beginner, intermediate and advanced fitness levels. Free t-shirt for all participants. The University of Toledo, Center for Successful Aging is in charge of this program. For more information on this program please call 419-530-5208.

  It's warming up outside so we will discover more about how the seasons affect us and all of the creatures who make Wildwood Preserve their home. We'll meet in the Manor House Library for some stories and crafts before taking a short hike outside. Register participating children only.  
5/17/17 Good Health Walk: a brisk walk on park trails 11:00 AM Wildwood Preserve No Registration Required
  Take a brisk walk on park trails to increase your heart rate and get the blood flowing. This is a 50 min walk and covers over 2 miles at a quick walking pace. There will be no walk on federal holidays.  
5/17/17 Historical Tours of the Manor House 12:00 PM Wildwood Preserve No Registration Required
  Enjoy a free guided tour of this over 30,000 square foot, Depression-era home and learn about the region's rich history or walk through the first floor in your own time. After touring the Manor House, save time to walk through the Ellen Biddle Shipman Gardens or walk the trails through the spectacular grounds of Wildwood Preserve.

  It's important to stay active at all ages and equally important to spend time in nature. Come move, learn and socialize as we take a gently paced nature walk around Wildwood. Dress accordingly for the weather and any age is welcome in this walking group.

  It's Blue Week 2017! Come and discover all things Blue in Wildwood Metropark on a naturalist led hike. We will look for Wild Blue Lupine, Blue Jays, Blue Birds, Blue Racer snakes and more!  
5/17/17 Mountain Biking 101, Bike Fit and Body Position: (Ages 5-17) Presented by Spoke Life Cycles 6:30 PM Oak Openings Preserve Registration Closed
  Learn the basics of off-road cycling and gain the skills and confidence required to ride the tougher sections of trail. Topics range from cycling basics and trail fundamentals to technical riding skills. This class is well-suited for riders of all levels.

Presented by Spoke Life Cycles.

Bring your own bike, helmet, and water. Limited mountain bikes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

 
5/17/17 Volunteer Training: Middlegrounds Park Highlights 6:30 PM Middlegrounds Registration Closed
  Park specific natural and cultural history, interpretation and seasonal plant and animal cycles are the focus of this monthly, outdoor field study. Open to all interested adults and recommended for Metroparks Walk Leaders, Roving Interpreters, Wildlife Monitors, Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalists and Volunteer Trail Patrol(VMT).
