  Join us every Wednesday beginning April 5 through June 28 to get moving, socialize and learn from a Metroparks naturalist on this slow stroll along Wildwood's paved or gravel trails. Designed especially for 55 and older, but any age is welcome to join the fun.

  Join The University of Toledo, Center for Successful Aging every Monday and Friday for a fitness walking program in the Metroparks. Open to all adults. Classes are free to the public. Fitness classes will accommodate beginner, intermediate and advanced fitness levels. Free t-shirt for all participants. The University of Toledo, Center for Successful Aging is in charge of this program. For more information on this program please call 419-530-5208.

5/16/17 Blue Week: Lupine in Bloom 10:00 AM Oak Openings Preserve Registration Closed
  Take part in Blue Week 2017 and Celebrate all the local blue animals and plants. Wild Blue Lupine is one of the signature species of the Oak Openings Region and is the only host plant for the Karner Blue Butterfly larvae. Take a stroll and find some beautiful blue lupine along the way.  
5/16/17 Historical Tours of the Manor House 12:00 PM Wildwood Preserve No Registration Required
  Enjoy a free guided tour of this over 30,000 square foot, Depression-era home and learn about the region's rich history or walk through the first floor in your own time. After touring the Manor House, save time to walk through the Ellen Biddle Shipman Gardens or walk the trails through the spectacular grounds of Wildwood Preserve.  
5/16/17 Introduction to Group Cycling: Presented by Toledo Area Bicyclists (Adults) 6:30 PM Secor Registration Closed
  In this four-week clinic, Toledo Area Bicyclists (TAB) and Metroparks team up to introduce intermediate cyclists to the basics of group cycling—a fun, safe, social way to ride! Each session features 10-15 minutes of new instruction followed by a 16 -20 mile practice ride that is small chain ring, no drop, and at an average 14-16 mph speed. Sessions culminate with group discussions of the rides. If you are an intermediate rider new to group cycling or looking to brush up on group riding skills, this clinic is for you.

Road bikes are highly recommended, helmets are mandatory. This is a 4 week session that meets May 16, 23, 30 and June 6. Please register for the first session on May 16.
