  Join us every Wednesday beginning April 5 through June 28 to get moving, socialize and learn from a Metroparks naturalist on this slow stroll along Wildwood's paved or gravel trails. Designed especially for 55 and older, but any age is welcome to join the fun.

  Join The University of Toledo, Center for Successful Aging every Monday and Friday for a fitness walking program in the Metroparks. Open to all adults. Classes are free to the public. Fitness classes will accommodate beginner, intermediate and advanced fitness levels. Free t-shirt for all participants. 5/13/17 15 Mile, Maumee River Eco-Tour: Kayak Adventure (Adults) 9:00 AM Providence Registration Closed
  Follow the course of the mighty Maumee from Providence Metropark downriver all the way to Side Cut Metropark. Experience 15 river miles of incredible scenery and wildlife as you paddle with a naturalist guide and kayak instructor. Then hop on the Metroparks mini bus to shuttle back to your starting location.

All boats and paddling gear provided; wear clothing and shoes to get wet. Difficulty: intermediate; skill required: intermediate; endurance required: intermediate.

  Who are you? Who, Who! Playing the Past will allow Girl Scoutsí imaginations soar. Games, activities and living history will be part of earning this badge on the Miami and Erie Canal. Come early or stay after and buy tickets for the the canal boat ride.

  Exhibits from the nationís premier nature photographers hang alongside images by local talent in this gallery. The National Center for Nature Photography at Secor Metropark is the only center of its kind in the country. Gallery open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  
5/13/17 Mountain Biking 101, Bike Fit and Body Position: (Adults Only) Presented by Spoke Life Cycles 10:00 AM Oak Openings Preserve Registration Closed
  Learn the basics of off-road cycling and gain the skills and confidence required to ride the tougher sections of trail. Topics range from cycling basics and trail fundamentals to technical riding skills. This class is well-suited for riders of all levels.

Presented by Spoke Life Cycles.

Bring your own bike, helmet, and water. Limited mountain bikes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

 
5/13/17 International Migration Bird Day Celebration Hike 11:00 AM Oak Openings Preserve Registration Closed
  Get outside yourself and celebrate International Migratory Bird Day! We will discover what birds are moving through our area in one of the best birding locations in Oak Openings. Binoculars and bird guides will be provided, no experience necessary.
