  Join The University of Toledo, Center for Successful Aging every Monday and Friday for a fitness walking program in the Metroparks. Open to all adults. Classes are free to the public. Fitness classes will accommodate beginner, intermediate and advanced fitness levels. Free t-shirt for all participants. 6/3/17 Trail Challenge 10:00 AM Metroparks of the Toledo Area Register
  Help us celebrate National Trail Day by signing up to take the Trail Challenge. Set your goal of 50, 100 or 150 miles and create your plan to accomplish your goal and hike! To participate: register online or mail in your registration form with your entry fee. You will receive a t-shirt, entry into the Trail Challenge FaceBook group and invitations to special trail hikes. Your reward will be a hiking stick with the badge of the miles you completed 50, 100 or 150. The form is for you to track your mileage. You can drop off or mail your completed form to Wildwood Preserve Visitors Center by June 30, 2018. You will then be notified when rewards are available for pick-up.

Metroparks encourages you to set a stretch goal, a GET OUTSIDE YOURSELF kind of goal. For some, that will be accomplishing the 50 miles for others the 100 or 150. Watch for Metroparks Featured Trails. Try a trail in a Metropark you've not previously visited. When registering online enter your Mile Goal into the 'Age of Children' text field.

 
10/7/17 Stewardship Work Day 9:00 AM Blue Creek Conservation Area Registration Closed
  Be a good steward of a natural resource – your Metroparks! Volunteers join our Land Stewards on a restoration project which may include invasive species removal. Public volunteer days occur most first Saturdays of the month. Please be sure to dress for the weather and sturdy footwear is strongly recommended. Community groups and individuals are welcome.
To register, please go to www.metroparkstoledo.com/volunteer. If you are already a Metroparks Volunteer, click on VOLUNTEER SIGN IN. If you are a new volunteer, click on APPLICATION FOR NEW VOLUNTEERS. Please call Annie Devine at 419-407-9841 if you would like to register a group larger than 5 individuals. [PVD]

  Reduce stress and increase well-being! Experience a shortened version of a Forest Bathing journey as a certified guide leads you on this short, nonstrenuous walk. Feel the healing qualities of the forest with activities that invite you to connect with nature by using all of your senses.   Exhibits from the nation’s premier nature photographers hang alongside images by local talent in this gallery. The National Center for Nature Photography at Secor Metropark is the only center of its kind in the country. Gallery open Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

  The Johlin Cabin turns 150 this year, so we are celebrating today. Come join us anytime between 11:00-3:00 for birthday fun, history, crafts, and games or just explore the cabin itself on this day where we celebrate our Great Black Swamp heritage.

10/7/17 CANCELLED: Evening on the Water: Families 7:00 PM Side Cut Registration Closed
  Watch the sun set and the stars come out on the water. All boats and other paddling gear provided; wear clothing and shoes to get wet (no cotton). Participants must be 8 or older to paddle, minors must be accompanied by an adult. Register all participants ages 8+. Up to two children ages 4-7 may ride in the middle for free for every two registered participants. Please leave a comment with ages of all children (for life jacket counts).
