6/3/17 Trail Challenge 10:00 AM Metroparks of the Toledo Area Registration Closed
  Help us celebrate National Trail Day by signing up to take the Trail Challenge. Set your goal of 50, 100 or 150 miles and create your plan to accomplish your goal and hike! To participate: register online or mail in your registration form with your entry fee. You will receive a t-shirt, entry into the Trail Challenge FaceBook group and invitations to special trail hikes. Your reward will be a hiking stick with the badge of the miles you completed 50, 100 or 150. The form is for you to track your mileage. You can drop off or mail your completed form to Wildwood Preserve Visitors Center by June 30, 2018. You will then be notified when rewards are available for pick-up.

Metroparks encourages you to set a stretch goal, a GET OUTSIDE YOURSELF kind of goal. For some, that will be accomplishing the 50 miles for others the 100 or 150. Watch for Metroparks Featured Trails. Try a trail in a Metropark you've not previously visited. When registering online enter your Mile Goal into the 'Age of Children' text field.

1/1/18 Snowshoe Pop-Up Programs: Ages 5+ 12:00 PM Off-Site Registration Closed
  When the snow falls get outside and escape on a snowshoe hike through the winter wonderland of your Metroparks. Snowshoe pop-up programs will be posted on short notice when the snow conditions are right.

Register here to get your email on our email list; this does NOT register you for a snowshoe program. When it snows and a pop-up snowshoe program is scheduled you will receive an email alert; you must register for each pop-up program individually. There are no snowshoe programs pre-scheduled for January, February, or March; registering for these dates simply puts your email on the email list to be alerted when a pop-up program is scheduled.

1/20/18 Behind The Scenes Of Stranleigh 9:00 AM Wildwood Preserve Waiting List
  Ever wonder what is behind all those closed doors? Or, where did the maids work and sleep? Take this unique opportunity to see all four floors of the Wildwood Manor House and discover more about what life was like when the historic home was called Stranleigh. Small groups will tour typically closed spaces from the boiler room to the attic. Space is limited.  
1/20/18 Winter Waterfowl Along the Maumee 10:00 AM Side Cut Registration Closed
  Take a tour along the Maumee River in search of waterfowl wintering over in the area. We will search for waterfowl, migrating and native birds (and other wildlife), interpreting their winter behaviors.  
1/20/18 Gallery Exhibition 10:00 AM Secor No Registration Required
  Exhibits from the nation's premier nature photographers hang along side images by local talent in this gallery. The National center for Nature Photography at Secor Metropark is the only center of its kind in the country. Regular Gallery hours are Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  
1/20/18 CANCELLED: Get to Know Your Trails 1:00 PM Secor Registration Closed
  Get outside yourself and get on the trails with a park naturalist. We will look at the flora and fauna of northwest Ohio as we explore a new trail each month. Please wear sturdy shoes and dress according to weather.  
1/20/18 Maumee Valley Adventurers Travel Circle 2018: Rambling Around Manhattan, Staten Island and Brooklyn: Presented by Tom Garey 1:00 PM Oak Openings Preserve No Registration Required
  Join Maumee Valley Adventurers on Saturdays from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. to hike or ski, followed by an interesting travel program at 2:15 p.m. Light refreshments provided. No reservations needed. Enjoy your Metroparks!  
1/20/18 CANCELLED:Calling All Junior Girl Scouts: Playing the Past in the Mansion 2:00 PM Wildwood Preserve Registration Closed
  Who are you? Who? Who! Playing the Past will allow girls to let their imaginations soar. Games, activities and living history will be part of earning this badge at the former Stranahan home, known today as the Wildwood Manor House.  
1/20/18 Try it! Kayaking in a Pool: (Ages 8+) 6:00 PM Off-Site Registration Closed
  Check out this unique opportunity to try kayaking in the winter months. Metroparks paddling instructors will be on hand to teach basic kayaking skills and play games. For beginners or experienced paddlers. Take advantage of the warm pool to get more time on the water!

All equipment provided. First come, first served (no limit on registration, will have participants just wait in line.)
