  Suffering from a little cabin fever? Catch mansion fever by searching for objects hidden in plain sight in the Manor House. With over 32,000 square feet and three floors to scour, this task is harder than it may seem. Spend an hour or the afternoon seeing the house through a new lens. Fun for all ages!  
1/21/18 Fallen Timbers Movie Presentation 2:00 PM Fallen Timbers Battlefield Registration Closed
  The History Channel Presents: "Decisive Battles, The Battle of Fallen Timbers"
The Fallen Timbers Battlefield Preservation Commission will screen the 1999 film "The Battle of Fallen Timbers" at the Visitors Center. The film will be hosted by Craig Fisher who played the role of General Anthony Wayne. Mr. Craig will be on hand to answer questions and offer insight into the making of this remarkable film. The Program is free and open to the public.
 
2/13/18 Michigan vs Ohio: The Toledo War 6:30 PM Wildwood Preserve Register
  In 1835, the state of Ohio and Michigan (the only territory) nearly went to war over an area of land called the Toledo Strip. Today, the rivalry between these two states continues largely between the U of M and OSU football teams. Come learn the history and aftermath of this battle while also cheering for your favorite team!

  Bring your 3 to 5 year old to the little cabin in the big swamp to learn one of history's fun activities. Children will hear the story of how maple sugar is created and make a fun, snowy dessert once enjoyed by pioneer families. Register child only. Parent must accompany their child at the program.

  In 1794, a battle for the Northwest Territory took place that would forever shape the direction of this country. Come learn the history, details and consequences of the Battle of Fallen Timbers, followed by a walk of the battlefield.

  Who are you? Who? Which member of the crew will you be? Discover the lives of women who lived and worked the Miami and Erie Canal. Living history will bring to life this Toledo history while providing all the activities to earn this badge.  
5/13/18 Mother's Day Cruise: Moms Ride Free 12:00 PM Providence Register
  On her special day, treat Mom to a Canal Experience. "The Volunteer", a replica 1870s canal boat, departs at 12:30 pm, 2:00pm, and 3:30pm. Boat trips last one hour. The historic Isaac Ludwig Mill and Providence Heritage Center are open free of charge. A fee applies for non-mothers to ride the boat. Call the ticket booth at (419) 407-9741 to purchase canal boat tickets or tickets can be purchased the day of the program at the ticket booth while available. Tickets for this date are not available for purchase online.

6/9/18 Playful Pastimes: Canal Times 11:00 AM Providence Register
  Come learn how children passed the time while riding on a canal boat. Enjoy a sampling of muffins made with stone ground flour from the Isaac Ludwig Mill and make a historic game to take home. Program includes an extended canal boat ride taking passengers to lesser traveled parts of Providence Metroparks restored Miami and Erie Canal. Please call (419) 407-9700 for registration. Children ages 2-12 $6, Adults $7, Seniors $6 and children under 2 free.
